I started out by buying my first solid Persians in the fall of 1979,

a black male and soon thereafter followed a red female

and a bluecream. Back in those days the cats out of

English pedigrees were the most sought after.

We have come a long way in the Swedish cat fancy since

and today the English bloodlines are hard to find.

I imported my first Persian from the States in 1988, a tortie,

CFA Ch & Int Ch Kitty Charm's Kasara, who also was the

first cat to be imported from the US to Scandinavia.

The year after she was followed by, Jonala's Carena, red female,

and Jtay Carolina Blue Angel of Jonala, bluecream.

In 1989 I was offered a 10 months old black male, EC Jonala's

Born in the USA, who arrived in early spring of 1990.

He made an enormous impact in my breeding program

as well as on the show bench. During his show career

he made 3 national wins 93-95, 25 Best Longhair titles

including multiple Best In Shows and retired from the show

bench in November 1995 by winning Best Of Best

at the age of almost 7 years.

After having bred solids for 13 years I needed a new challenge.

I have always admired bi-colors, so it felt natural to move in

that direction. Pamela Bassett was kind enough to offer me

GC Pajean's Bayou Bandit, a black & white male,

2 years old, with almost no white. Bandit along with

two bi-color females, Ch Beau et Chere's Chanel, blue & white,

and Dearborn On My Mind, blue tabby & white, both from

the US were my foundation in the bi-colors and tabby & whites.

He produced a national winning red son in his first litter

here in Sweden, IC Tal Der Aim's Will-O-The-Wisp and also

sired the first van to gain a national win, IC Bocasanas Vanessa,

blue spotted & white van female.Kitten of the Year

no.3 in 1995 and Cat of the Year no.4 in 1996.

In 1993 I was over in the States, visiting catteries.
Vickie Lanham, Vickits Cattery, offered me one of

two blue & white van litter brothers,

GC Vickits Diamanté. Sire of CFA's 8th Best Cat 1996,

GC, NW Vickits Montero, black & white male,

Kitten of the Year in Sweden 1996, Bocasanas in

Black N' White, black & white harlequin female and

Kitten of the Year no.6 in 1996,

GC Bocasanas George Michael of Tehy, blue tabby & white

harlequin male.

George being the first Persian ever, from Scandinavia,

to grand within the CFA
